Congratulations to our GCSE students who picked up their results today.  Mr Dean, Headteacher, said ‘As always, student attainment was strong across the school.  Students at Poynton study a demanding curriculum and should be very proud of their success.  These results will open up exciting next steps for them and we look forward to welcoming many back into our own Sixth Form.  For those moving on to vocational courses or apprenticeships elsewhere we wish them all the best of luck’.  We were delighted that 36 students achieved a grade 7 or above in at least seven of their qualifications. Special congratulations to the seven students celebrating because at least 8 of their qualifications were at grade 9, the highest grade possible in GCSE.  Overall 76% of students achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4 and above.  Across the board students were celebrating success and we are immensely proud of all our students for their great effort and impressive achievements.  Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for your fantastic results and achievements!
